Residents of Tacoma, Fife and Fircrest can mark Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 7-13, by visiting eight neighborhood fire stations from 1-4 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 13. Each station will host a different safety activity.

This year’s theme, “Practice Your Escape Plan,” encourages everyone to team up and spread the message that fire safety saves lives. Stations will be open, and equipment will be on display. Firefighters will answer questions about escape planning, fire safety and disaster preparedness.
