More than 100 people gathered at Tacoma Goodwill’s Milgard Work Opportunity Center on Sept. 20 to celebrate the unveiling of DreamMakers Plaza. Last year, the Goodwill Heritage Foundation launched DreamMakers, an annual giving effort that provides scholarships of $1,000 to $1,500 to people who might not otherwise be eligible for job training and placement services. So far, the program has helped 170 people. The Plaza, made of individual glass pavers from the founding DreamMakers, are marked with words of encouragement and messages of honor.
