Tacoma residents are invited to learn more about the proposed expansion of Tacoma’s Link light rail system during a public open house in July.

According to Sound Transit officials, the project would expand the existing Tacoma Link light rail system 2.4 miles from the Theater District to the Stadium District and Hilltop neighborhood, and includes expanding the existing Operations and Maintenance Facility of East 25th Street. Open house visitors will be invited to review the preferred alignment and station locations, understand the potential project impacts and mitigation, and learn about project next steps.

The event will be held on Weds., July 15, between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., at Evergreen State College, located at 1210 6th Ave., in Tacoma. More information is available online at soundtransit.org/TacomaLinkExpansion.
