Members of a citizen advisory group will discuss new toll rates for the Tacoma Narrows Bridge at a second meeting on Weds., Feb. 8 at the Gig Harbor Civic Center. An informational open house hosted by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will precede the meeting.
The Tacoma Narrows Bridge Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) will consider additional rate scenarios for further analysis before recommending a new toll rate to the Washington State Transportation Commission in March.
Before the Feb. 8 committee meeting, WSDOT transportation and financial experts will host an educational open house and answer questions about the toll rate-setting process and financial scenarios.
The open house will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by the committee meeting from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Both events will occur at the Gig Harbor Civic Center, 3510 Grandview St.
At a previous Jan. 11 public workshop, WSDOT presented traffic and revenue forecasts for multiple rate scenarios. Materials from that meeting are available online. Additional committee meetings are planned for Feb. 22 and March 8 (if needed) before the CAC recommends a new toll rate to the Transportation Commission on March 20.

The CAC is a governor-appointed, nine-member committee tasked to make toll rate recommendations to the Washington State Transportation Commission.
