Gary Gonter of Tacoma has been elected president of the Western Washington Fair Association (WWFA) by the board of directors following the annual stockholders meeting.
Other elected officers include: Carl Hogan, vice president; Denny Elvins, secretary; David Campbell, treasurer; and Robert E. Carlson, manager.
Gonters responsibilities include overseeing events at the Puyallup Fairgrounds throughout the year. He will be watching over activities including the four-day Puyallup Spring Fair, April 15-18; the scholarship endowment benefit on August 13; the 17-day Puyallup Fair, running Sept. 10-26; and other interim events that are held on the Fairgrounds.
The WWFA, founded in 1900, is a private, non-profit corporation.
