Tacoman elected president of WWFA

Gary Gonter of Tacoma has been elected president of the Western Washington Fair Association (WWFA) by the board of directors following the annual stockholders meeting.

Other elected officers include: Carl Hogan, vice president; Denny Elvins, secretary; David Campbell, treasurer; and Robert E. Carlson, manager.
Gonter’s responsibilities include overseeing events at the Puyallup Fairgrounds throughout the year. He will be watching over activities including the four-day Puyallup Spring Fair, April 15-18; the scholarship endowment benefit on August 13; the 17-day Puyallup Fair, running Sept. 10-26; and other interim events that are held on the Fairgrounds.

The WWFA, founded in 1900, is a private, non-profit corporation.
