If you are interested in the future of parking in downtown Tacoma, the Parking Management Advisory Task Force is looking for a new member to help make decisions and recommendations regarding the downtown parking system. The current duties of the task force include providing oversight for the recently introduced paid on-street parking program, but it may grow to include the City’s off-street parking facilities. There is a current need for residents to participate, as well as owners/managers of commercial properties and restaurant operators. Interested persons with these qualities are invited to complete the application for further consideration by the task force and approval by the city manager. Applications need to be submitted by March 30, 2011. To obtain an application or for more information about parking pay stations in downtown Tacoma, go to the parking pay station Web site at http://www.tacomaparking.com .
