Applications are now being accepted for student tuition scholarships and grants.

More than 85 scholarships, with a collective value of approximately $130,000 for the 2006-2007 academic year, are available from Tacoma Community College and the TCC Foundation.

Twenty-one general scholarships are offered. Any current or potential TCC student with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better may apply. Applicants must also complete a minimum of 10 credits per quarter and be eligible for Washington state residency.

More than 70 scholarships are offered in Art, Health Care, Humanities, Law & Justice, Music, Nursing, Science and Special Needs, along with scholarships geared toward specific interests.

Grants and supplemental assistance are available for students with financial aid. Award amounts vary and are based on availability.

Students: apply now! The deadline for completed applications is 5 p.m. April 14. Applications are available online at http://www.tacomacc.edu/foundation , in the Financial Aid office in Bldg. 18 and in the TCC Foundation office in Bldg. 6.
