The Tacoma Housing Authority is holding another public meeting to address the Department of Housing and Urban Developments (HUD) recent decision to change the way it funds the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program.
THA held a public meeting on May 27 to discuss this issue and hear comments and suggestions on how to respond to HUDs reduction in funding. THAs Board of Commissioners is now reviewing options.
Another public meeting is set for 6 p.m., Thursday, June 24, at Life Center Church, 1717 South Union Ave. in Tacoma. The purpose of this meeting will be to provide information on the steps THA will take to implement the necessary changes to meet the funding shortfall.
The meeting will NOT be held today as THA previously considered.
