John Rodenberg, a business advisor with the Washington Small Business Development Center (SBDC), is now available to meet with SBDC clients in both Tacoma and Puyallup.
The new Puyallup office opened in April. You can find it at 400 E. Pioneer, Suite 103. The SBDC office in Tacoma is located on the ground floor of Bates Technical College, 1100 South Yakima Ave., Room M123.
The Washington SBDC provides no-cost, confidential, one-on-one advising to small business owners who want to grow or expand a business. SBDC advisors can also provide resources or assistance to entrepreneurs who are working to start a new business. The Washington SBDC network includes nearly 30 business advisors working in more than 20 communities across the state.
Rodenberg, who has more than 35 years’ experience working with both major corporations and small businesses, has been the SBDC advisor in Tacoma since 2004. He provides comprehensive business advising and his particular areas of expertise includes manufacturing, distribution and consulting. He has assisted more than 2,000 SBDC clients with financial, marketing and business transition opportunities.
The Washington SBDC is hosted by Washington State University and receives major funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and WSU. Additional funding is provided by other institutions of higher education and economic development, as well as municipalities, ports and private-public partnerships.
Appointments can be scheduled at either office. After an initial face-to-face meeting, subsequent sessions can be scheduled for in person, phone, web video or email advising.
