In an effort to help citizens learn more about the local candidates before casting their votes in the upcoming primary election, TV Tacoma has partnered with the League of Women Voters and students from the University of Washington Tacoma Urban Studies program to present Candidate Forums.

Candidates who filed for the offices of City of Tacoma Mayor, Tacoma City Council, Tacoma Civil Service Board, Port of Tacoma Commission and Tacoma School Board were invited to participate in the program. The series will begin airing on TV Tacoma beginning Aug. 1, and will also be available online at http://www.tvtacoma.com .

TV Tacoma is carried on both the Click! and Comcast Cable systems. On Click! TV Tacoma can be seen on Channel 12 in the Tacoma City limits and in Pierce County, with the exception of University Place, where it can be found on Channel 21.
