The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported at 4:50 a.m. this morning that the two right lanes of I-5 southbound near Porter Way (milepost 138 to 139) in Pierce County are closed due to water over the roadway. Motorists can still get through using the two left lanes.
UPDATE: WSDOT reported at 9:16 a.m. the left northbound lane and the two right lanes of I-5 southbound near Porter Way in Pierce County are closed due to water over the roadway. Motorists can still get through using the three right lanes northbound and the two left lanes southbound I-5.
UPDATE: WSDOT reported at 10:46 a.m. that back-ups on southbound I-5 extend to Hwy 18, approximately three miles.
UPDATE: WSDOT reported at 1:17 p.m. that backups southbound I-5 extend to 320th in Federal Way, approximately five miles.
UPDATE: WSDOT reported at 5:22 a.m. that the far right lane of southbound I-5 near Porter way remains closed. Crews have reopened the center right lane.
