Tickets and gift certificates for the Sixth Annual Tacoma Wine Classic are now available, slated for 6 p.m. May 13, 2006. It will be held in the Tacoma Community College Opgaard Student Center (Building 11) on the college’s main campus, 6501 S. 19th St., Tacoma.
This years Tacoma Wine Classic will feature 40 premium Washington wines, in celebration of Tacoma Community Colleges 40th anniversary. The event, which is black-tie optional, will also include light hors doeuvres, formal dining, live music, and silent and live auctions.
Proceeds will be used to support a variety of TCC-related activities, including student scholarships and grants; library and learning resources; international programs; employee professional development and awards; the TCC Childrens Center; academic and student programs; athletic activities; arts programs; and literacy and developmental education.
The Tacoma Wine Classic is presented by the Tacoma Community College Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that accepts and administers philanthropic support for the college.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $125 each, $250 per couple or $1,000 for a table of eight. Seating is limited. Tickets and gift certificates can be purchased by phoning (253) 460-4318.
