Looking for work? Job seekers can meet with more than 50 employers during a Nov. 5 job fair in Tacoma targeted toward those with military experience.
WorkSource Pierce is commemorating Veterans Day early this year with a job fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at AMVETS Post #1, 5717 S. Tyler. Job seekers are asked to bring a resume and arrive dressed for an interview.
Admission is free and the fair is open all job seekers; men and women with military experience are especially encouraged to attend.
Representatives at the fair will be recruiting for nearly 800 positions. More than 1,000 applicants are expected.
Some of the employers attending the fair: Los Angeles Police Department, Bank of America, Emerald Queen Casino, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Corrections, Fort Lewis/ Madigan Personnel, Manor Care, Federal Express, Port of Seattle, U.S. Customs, Verizon Wireless, Internal Revenue Service, Washington Mutual, Good Samaritan Hospital, Social Security, Gordon Trucking, and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
